Biography[]
Volkoff is a veteran knight and chief vassal of King Illzach. He is renowned for his tactical genius and prowess in battle. Volkoff begins at a significantly higher level and is the first commander to join Ledin's party.
Story[]

The events of Langrisser I begin when Kaiser Digos of the Dalsis Empire suddenly launches a siege against Baldea Castle. In the midst of the onslaught, King Illzach urges his son, Prince Ledin, to depart for Salrath and request aid from the dukedom's ruler, Duke Hawking. Volkoff aids Ledin in his escape, accompanying him on the dangerous journey.
Upon arriving in Salrath, the two learn of Baldea's defeat and King Illzach's demise. Emboldened by this turn of events, Ledin vows to reclaim his home from the imperial invasion. Shortly before arriving in Baldea, however, the group is ambushed by an imperial assassin. An arrow is shot at Ledin, but Volkoff quickly intervenes. The arrow pierces Volkoff's armor, releasing its poison into his body. With his dying breath, Volkoff tells Ledin he will make a great king.
